Never Clean your Microwave Again

You've had a long day, getting home after the soccer practice, it's hot outside; and all you want to do is get the kids fed and off to their playroom for an hour before you need to start getting them ready for bed.

So you grab something frozen for tonight and decide this weekend, you'll cook something homemade. You get the frozen chicken nuggets, put them on a plate and open up your microwave. You pause. You groan. Thinking to yourself again, "That's right- I meant to clean this thing last time I used it...."

Of course you didn't. No one does- its such a hassle and of course you can never remember to do it until you need to use the darn thing. But then you use it- because let's face it- your hungry. Then afterwards it's too hot to clean. So you decide to eat first then clean it.

So you close the microwave door, eat, put that dish in the sink and then go on with your life... until you are face to face with the microwave again.

This will go on for months.

This annoying reminder- but only when you look inside- and no one wants to see that. It's bad. It's ugly. It's a constant reminder that you don't have time. So you keep pushing that assignment to the end of your never ending to-do list over and over again.

Until that day- when you give up. You put on the rubber gloves, get out the bucket, hot water and dawn soap- and complain under your breath the entire time about how disgusting your family can be when it comes to cleaning up after themselves.

Or you just throw it away and get a new one.

Let's save your sanity here. Your precious time and more importantly how you view your beautiful, messy family.

I do not get mad at me when I tell you that I NEVER clean my microwave. I figured out the best thing in the entire world to aid in this weird annoyance that saves me time, energy and those nagging thoughts.

You can do this too- if you like. Unless you enjoy scrubbing away every other month screaming at everyone... Totally up to you.

A damp paper towel.

Yep.

You read that correctly.

I use a wet paper towel over my food, every single time I use it.

Not only does it continuously always keep my microwave clean. It also collaborates with the effects of how the microwave works. So my food is NEVER dried out either!

A simple win-win.
